Neem – Neem leaves have anti-bacterial properties which is why it works wonders on infections, burns and any kind of skin problems. It destroys the bacteria that causes infections, stimulates the immune system and encourages rapid healing.
Haldi – Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent and can be used as an effective disinfectant. Turmeric also helps repair damaged skin and may be used to treat psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions.
Ushir – Ushirasav is very cool and is astringent and anti haemorrhagic in nature. It balances pitta dosha and is useful in Burning sensation, Body odour, Burning micturaion, Discolouration, scanty lactation, Menorrhegia, Anaemia, Skin diseases, Diabetis, Piles, Worms and oedeama.
Methi – Contains anti-inflammatory compounds that aid in the treatment of various skin problems like burns, boils and eczema. The seeds are known to help in getting rid of scars.
Aloevera – Since the skin needs nutrition of its own, Aloe Vera, can treat, exfoliate, restore, reveal and provide constant, impressive nutrition to the human skin
Amla – It is an excellent antioxidant with high source of Vitamin C due to all these features; amla is highly beneficial in skin lightening. Amla fades scars and marks, exfoliates gently.
Chitrak – Chitraka is used in skin diseases, intake of powdered form chitraka helps in curing Leprosy. Chitraka is used in Diarrhoea.
Gulaab – Smoothens, moisturizes, hydrates and revitalizes the skin while healing scars, cuts and wounds.
Tulsi – Tulsi has so many beauty benefits like it lightens the skin tone, soothes the acne prone sensitive skin and even helps eliminating pimples/acne.
Mulethi – Roots of mulethi are very effective in protecting against virus, bacteria and fungi due to the presence of Glycyrrhizin that blocks the microbial growth. The root extract possesses the power to control malaria (as per preliminary research), influenza and also helps in the treatment of herpes resulting in virus suppression and severity of sores.
Vacha – Vacha is useful in skin diseases when it is used with turmeric, triphala and neem. There are at least nine formulation mentioned in Charak Samhita for treating visceral diseases. Be it the disease of piles or diarrhea vacha is useful in both of them.
Dhaniya – Cilantro acts as a natural internal deodorant as it contains a large amount of chlorophyll that can detox the body from the inside out. Chlorophyll can inhibit bacteria due to its high oxygen content and therefore, this herb helps your body deodorize and smell great.
Deodar – Deodar alleviates inflammation when applied locally. Its local application and oil are used in arthritis. Deodar is useful in skin disorders helminthiasis and ulcers. Its oil is a very good wound cleaner and healer. Application of oil destroys bacteria from infected wounds.
